The Meyer bros have decided to enter into the Ithatcka BOJ Challenge. This challenge involves purchasing a Box of Junk (BOJ) from American Science and Surplus and using it to create a project. Once all the projects are submitted (the deadline is 12:01 ET, August 1, 2010), there will be a vote for the best project and the winning team will receive a $75 dollar gift certificate. With currently at least 23 teams being entered and considering that the contest has only been going on for a week now and ends August 1st, it looks like American Science and Surplus will be making some serious bank off of this competition. For more information on Ithacka BOJ Challenge you can visit their website: www.ithacka.org
Currently we have purchased both the elect-mech surprise box and the consumer surprise box, and we are patiently waiting for the parts to arrive so that we can begin brainstorming.
This is the first time that we have really joined forces to build a project, so hopefully we can do some damage. We both took “college” level art in high school and we are both currently studying systems engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy so we will definitely be looking at putting our skills to good use.
